Moved over my blog!
So I had a photography blog going on over at the other site. At least the beginnings of one before all this stuff with my back went down. I moved the original ( and only post to this date ) over there for your reading enjoyment

Okay today’s gallery is slightly blurry but it was a huge lesson for me. I went from shooting outdoors to shooting indoors in a hole in the wall bar where the band literally had a CORNER to play on. You’ll see that it’s so cramped that Amos has to get on the cabinet in the back. Lighting here wasn’t that great especially for a point and shoot. I also learned to never throw away a blurry band shot. It might be considered cool by someone else

I actually posted this gallery yesterday but I’m writing a post about it today.
Here is the first show I ever shot with an Olympus D-360L which is a brick of a point and shoot digital camera! LOL. Was an outdoor show and for the first time I really don’t think the shots came out that bad. Obvious newbie problems. Good drummer shots are hard.. Lead singer jumping in my shot. Later on I expected these things. This is the show that made me think “Wow! I can do this!” http://www.thestompingground.net/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=1
Welcome to the NEW Stomping Ground
The Stomping Ground has moved servers and we are updating! What does that mean? Well you’re going to see some of my old stuff as I move it over. I had a hard drive crash so I think I’ve lost some dates and information. I can at least tell you what band they are and where the show was shot but unless the data is embedded into the picture, I can’t give you guys any dates. Now some shows I shot after the hard drive crash and those SHOULD have dates. Eventually when I get my back better, I’ll be shooting new shows.
I’d also like to announce that I’m also not even going to try to do this for money anymore. After being laid up for three years with this back injury, I’ve realized how much I’ve missed my bands and shooting. All I ask is free entry into the show you want me to shoot for me and my fiancée. I don’t think that’s too much to ask but check out my gallery once it’s up and see what you think. For now, you can check out the few photos I’ve posted on TSG’s Facebook. The link is in the upper right corner of this site.
Welcome back everyone!
